Nestman, nesting 2 floors up on Birmingham's iconic Rotunda building:


In the photos above he is reaching pitifully for a giant egg on the ground below. There was much loud screeching coming from inside the nest. Members of the public were whistling and squawking back at him, which seemed to rile him further. It was highly amusing, but at the same time I felt sorry for him - surely one of the best emotional combos known to man.
He will be there for seven days, having constructed the nest himself out of "seven silver birches, a beech, a willow, three bales of straw, 180lbs of cement, 120lbs of sand and 12 large buckets of glue". The nest was put into place with cranes on Friday. I don't know whether he stays in there at night. According to his website the whole affair will end in tragedy on Thursday. I can't wait to see what happens. Go Nestman!
